I love ruffles like I love coffee and that’s a lot. They have an air of frivolity to them, feminine, romantic…bad ass. So, I’m kind of all over this summer’s trend for Bardot inspired cold shoulder tops, in every hue, print and style. I love them, but……………
….what’s up with all these spaghetti straps? Beautiful, whimsical, itty bitty strips of things mamas with boobs like me just can’t get away with wearing. What’s up with the bare decolletage? No way love, I have thick bra straps to rock. The days of going bra-free are momentarily behind me. I’m still breastfeeding, and while my maternity bras are pretty, I just have to wear them if I want to feel supported and as jiggle-free as possible.
That’s why I was elated when I found the most perfect of bra-friendly Off-the-shoulder ruffle tops at Zara. I had decided to take my shopping off-line for once and actually venture to a shopping centre with the baby. Boy am I so glad I did as I wouldn’t have found this beauty on the laptop.. It is impossibly perfect for my summer capsule wardrobe, fresh blue cotton, a divine button back, oversized ruffle and sassy shoulder reveal.
